About Masaki SAI

1966: Born Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan

1984: Graduated-- Fukushima Higashi High School

1992: Graduated-- Tokyo University of the Arts Fine Arts Department (Japanese Painting)

1994: Graduated-- Tokyo University of the Arts (Graduate School)

1998: 1st Prize-- Kitakata City Museum of Art Competition (Hometown Scenes)

2003: Showa-kai Prize-- Galerie Nichido (Showa-kai Prize is usually awarded for Western Style artists--first award for a Japanese Style artist.)

2011~ Artist for annual TOHO BANK calendar

 


What is "Friends of Masaki SAI"?

 This association was established in 2018 by his ex-high school teachers, classmates, alumni and members of the public to promote and enjoy the work and related activities of locally born Nihonga artist Masaki SAI. It is open to anyone who may share these interests.
